Julia and Dinesh Mader are co-owners and practitioners at Rasayana Cove. Our combined skills in Ayurveda, meditation, and nature retreats create a unique retreat experience of healing at many levels.
Rasayana Cove Retreat is a 25-acre nature retreat in the woods of central Florida one hour east of Sarasota. We are located in the heartland of Florida’s orange groves and ranchlands. The property is an oasis for peace and renewal with forested walkways, open vistas, a flowing creek and 2 spring-fed ponds. Each of our cabins honors the nature of this sanctuary offering comfort and shelter while viewing the land and waters of the retreat property. The meals are prepared with organic produce from our garden as we give attention to individual digestive needs and the pleasure of tasty meals. We are committed to teaching our clients about healthy cooking for their personal needs. Dinesh Mader contributes his experience and background in massage therapy, yoga, Ayurveda, and a long-standing love of nature, the Healing Mother. Dinesh began a modest practice of physical yoga after college and a tour of duty in the Peace Corps in North Africa. He worked as a rural health planner for the Appalachian Regional Commission, but left the boardroom to pursue a life of renunciation and self-sufficiency in the woods of Canada. In 1984 his quest for self-healing led him to the renowned Ayurvedic master, Dr. Vasant Lad, and the Ayurvedic Institute. There he also met Dr. Robert Svoboda, Ayurvedic author and scholar, and served as his promoter in the Toronto area for the following five years. Their activities included a number of workshops in remote settings in the Canadian wilderness. In 1991 he and Julia made the first of three trips to India to study at the International Institute of Ayurveda and research the proper administration of Pancha Karma treatments. This lead to the conceptualization of Rasayana Cove, an Ayurvedic healing retreat in a natural setting. He is a writer, lecturer, licensed massage therapist, and initiate in Tantra Yoga and Buddhism. His life is devoted to serving others who seek a life of balance and self-realization.
